To protect your content from copy pasters it is better to ping your blog.

Instead of reporting google ping method is better.
In this method also happens same thing.

When you post any thing or update your blog then immediately ping your blog.

By this method all search engines get that your blog updated so your blog will be first also if some one copy from your blog.
