^^ Its different in my case. My both pc run almost 24x7 .
My rig consist of 6Gig Corsair DDR3, Intel Pentium D ( Dual core E6600 overclocked to 3.5 Ghz with hyperthreading and virtualization disabled and multiplier x11.5)
My both PC Cabinate is same with 500 Watts SMPS , 250 GB x2 sata HDD. My rig also consist 8 Exhaust fans, 2 for chassis, One for processor (non intel but Zebronics one) 2for HDD..
My motherbord temp is 22 Degrees off load and 30-40 degrees on load processor temp is max 50 degrees. Both PC are exactly same only difference is their graphic card. one Has R7 260X 2gb xfx ddr5 , other has Zotac synergy edition 2GB ddr5 GTX650 Ti.
Now in gaming Crysis 3 : FPS rate avg is 72 on max/high settings on amd while 67 avg on nvidia on same resolution of 1440x900 @75 Hz
COD Ghosts : FPS rate avg 62 on max/ high settings on amd while 60 avg on nvidia using Physx ON.
Now For media encoding running 2 processes at a time Amd beats Nvidia
Now 3D stereoscopic non-anaglyph Gaming NVIDIA beats AMD. Nvidia is excellent while AMD is Fair.
3D Movies Nvidia and amd are same..
{Note : My pc is always Dual booting with UBUNTU 14 x64 Bit..}
In ubuntu AMD does good job than Nvidia.
For both processing non-media also..
Now some points about cuda what ppl think cuda is different than stream but Cuda is same as stream processors. but with wider bus for both low frequency. Stream is exactly different. It has low bus for low frequency.
Cuda cores are enhanced stream processor with nvidia's own api.. Now If one wants to run cuda based application like media editing or graphic desigining then go for nvidia. Now ATI has something similar to it like Stream processing. But its knowledge to me is limited so I am ant commenting about it.
Nvidia Physx is Nvidia's own feature which enhances gaming Its the only feature i wish ATI had. Video of Nvidia physx (
)
I prefer if u guys are going for gaming then get amd. as their Open CL is supported and maintained by many developers. And AMD has good reputation to DX11-11.1-11.2 etc Gaming than nvidia.
now again Nvidia Physx can be run on ati also google it guys if any one needs it.
Better for guys to watch this video
