How to Format a Micro SD Card

I had not found a proper place to post so I decided to post it here...
I have a micro sd card of 4 gb...
It shows in my mobile (Samsung E1232)..
I'm able 2 play songs, watch images bt whenever I tried to format the disk it is showing error and isn't formatted...
The disk is not showing in PC and in my Nokia 5233...
Wht should I do to format tht disk and able to use in any devices...?
Experts I Need ur help...

Try to format with cardreader or it could be driver problem.. just check on other pc.. if it detects then u can format it..
Dont connect with datacable with other pc.. try with cardreader...
If its not working then ur sd card is corruped..

it's because you may be accidentally or intentionally protected your micro sd card with a password.
try to remove it from your samsung.orelse as you said you won't be able to see your files on different machines or in phones.

And i quote " you locked your card in samsung.so it will not ask you to enter any password.if you change it to different device it will not be shown."

I never put any password...
At last it is showing in my PC...
Bt unable to delete anything and unable to format also...
Tried with Some softwares / DOS bt nothing happening...
and I guess my micro sd card is nt corrupted also coz it is showing files...

bro. memory card has been corruped ....now ab tum jo b songs h vo sun sakte ho or pics b dekh skte ho lakin na to tum unhe del. kar skte na hi save uska half media dead ho gya h jiske karan na to media copy hota h or na hhi del. hoga ..aap ke pass ek hi option h . Change Ur MCard

try with card reader or put in symbian device and format it if you have put pass
