it didnt worked for me my speed capped after 4gb even i have activated the preview offer via the same process that you have given and got the congratulation msg also...didnt even touched my jio app after that..

its updated to server so even downgrading doesnt work.somebody getting >4gb because they are using without getting disconnected.its jio's bug.once u disconnect it will reflect to their server.so ur speed will be capped.

i may b wrong.its just my thought

there is error in old apk
but in jio system
we all migrated it doesnt matter we install or uninstall
but if u will not dc after 4 gb there may be chance u can use for little while

Doesn't matter if one disconnects or not, use the new apk or old one or none at all, access internet with or without a vpn, there are many jio users whose bandwidth is yet to be capped..

you are right and they are right too.. they update it server side,, but there is a loop when you realize jio used their apps to contact their own server for bar code generation.. preview offer activation etc.. so until they kill the api within old apps.. its still connected to server.. so both are right and it was working for me few days back then got capped again without do anything.. so i assume jio does a renewal activation for welcome offer daily..

i could be wrong but im sure it plays a role with their servers

just jio app plays a connection with their server.. so both your part and the authors part is right.. i can confirm this trick was working well few days back for me with just activating preview offer.. now its not working .. app force closes with net connection active.
