Good use of deactivated Photon Max Wi-Fi Data Card

Hello members,
I am just curious to know if there is any good use of deavtivated Photon Max Wi-Fi Data Card. I have bought it for Rs.2300 but now not using it anymore. Is there any unlocking technqiue to be used for betterment. Hoping suggestions from fellow members.

Search net u will find many... I unblocked my BSNL data card around 10 yera back hence not remember it... I did with a software which use to open the port which was pass protected. as much i remember.

be specific with model number and brand name... using wrong methods sometimes would brick it forever

People can unlock photon but the limitation is you can only use cdma sim card in it.

[HIDE=2][/HIDE]There is a site called routerunlock.com just google it I successfully unlocked my EC1261 Photon plus (but its not the one with WIFI) search the site
but be careful as there is a slight risk as it involves firmware update and stuff

Thanks for reply but i want to know whats the best use of unlocked EC315 data card. I am not aware of it thus kindly educate me. Advance thanks!!

Currently its restricted to only Tata network
Once the modem is unlocked you can use the simcard of any other service provider depending on the modem type CDMA or GSM
Note: If its CDMA then only other CDMA sims will work , if GSM then only GSM

There is a little risk in unlocking but anyway is there any CDMA trick going on which makes my unlocking effort worth.

As Indyan said, you can unlock it and it will be simfree. You can use it as a repeater also.
